The 2012 SB&T Bike Race Weekend is back and once again is part of the Albany Mardi Gras celebration. Three events – a Time Trial, Criterium, and Road Race – make up the weekend with more than $8,000 in prize money up for grabs. This year the Mardi Gras Festival has expanded so riders will get to race on a NEW 4-corner criterium course. The Time Trial is also making a comeback, and the entire weekend will be an omnium based on time. The Criterium and Road Race will also be points-earning events for the new Georgia Championship Series.

Events feature race support, wheel trucks, race announcing, and secured courses. All entrants receive an event T, free ticket to Mardi Gras, and other goodie bag items provided by the City of Albany and the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Registration

Register online on BikeReg.com. Online registration closes on Friday, March 2 at 5:00pm. Registration fee includes t-shirt and ticket to the Mardi Gras Festival. REGISTER NOW!

There will be a late fee incurred on any day-of registration. Those registering on Friday night at packet pick-up from 7:00pm – 10:00pm will not be charged a late fee. The late fee is $10 and will be charged each time you register (if you register for all events at one time, the late fee is $10. If you register for each race separately, the total fees will be $30). If you register for an additional criterium, the second race will be $20.

Saturday on-site registration and number pick-up for the Time Trial begins at 6:30am and Criterium registration and number pick-up begins at 10:00am and closes 30 minutes before the start of each category’s race. Sunday on-site registration and number pick-up for the Road Race begin at 7:30am and closes 30 minutes before the start of each category’s race.
